Bringing the Arts to Youth...and Youth to the Arts!
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Partners with ArtsNashoba to present... ArtNight 2013

What a terrific evening this was! ArtNight was a wonderful opportunity to see samplings of artistic works from students throughout the Nashoba Valley! The exhibit, presented beautifully at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Devens, included student works from such schools as ActonArt, Applewild School, Groton Community School, Lawrence Academy, Lura A. White Elementary, Oxbow Schoolhouse, Village Nursery School, as well as the Groton-Dunstable School District & MORE!!! There was delicious snacks for all to enjoy, including ice cream made ON THE SPOT using liquid nitrogen! A fruit-carver also demonstrated some amazing talent turning watermelon into beautiful artwork! Live music was presented in the hotel breakfast nook by Finn & Shea McGillivray of Groton, and ArtsNashoba's own Edie Tompkins accompanied Cellist Treasa Casey of Pepperell in the Devens Common Center.  Also in the Center was another exhibit of Mauricio Puente's stunning photographs.

Many families came through, as well as some guests from the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, in a constant parade of viewers. Many thanks to SpringHill Suites and Devens Common Center for welcoming us into their lovely hotel and providing this opportunity for so many talented youth to be recognized!  Most importantly, HUGE kudos to all of the students and schools who contributed their artwork to this very successful evening!

"Thank you for extending the invitation for tonight's art show to the Lura A. White School... it was completely worth every bit of extra work to see the students so proud and accomplished. Thank you for providing that opportunity of pride for me and my students."

"I enjoyed being at the opening and seeing the level of enthusiasm. The music was a nice touch, too. Thanks for including us."

- Chris Williamson, Applewild School (Fitchburg)

"Thank you to all of the organizers of the Arts Nashoba Regional Student exhibit for putting together such a wonderful event ... It was a nice opportunity for our teachers, parents and students to contribute to building a strong regional arts community!  We had about 90% of our GDHS parents and students show up to the reception. It was an honor for our students to participate. Please keep us posted on any future upcoming events!"
