Be careful what you wish for! That is one of the lessons to be learned by the unforgettable characters inhabiting the world of INTO THE WOODS JR., an adaptation of one of the most popular musicals of all time. The Tony Award winning show with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine has delighted audiences world-wide since its premiere on Broadway in 1986.

Sondheim’s sophisticated musical score has been adapted for INTO THE WOODS JR. to make it easier, though still challenging, for young performers. Talented singers and actors will have many opportunities for showcase moments with characters straight out of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), the big, bad Wolf, and the Witch. And everyone will benefit from the lessons this funny, engaging story has to offer. Who decides what’s “good”? Is “happily ever after” possible? What really happens when your dream come true?
