Jason Whiting, Auditioning for a Musical

JASON WHITING
graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Child and Family Studies, and a minor in Music. His experience as an artist educator includes: working with Family Music Makers (ages newborn to 4-years-old), seven years as music director for The Westwood Recreation Department’s Musical Theatre Program for Children (ages 6 to 14), and eight years as music director for the Angier After School Program (ages 6 to 11). He has over ten years as a music director in and around the Boston are, and has worked with a variety of college and community theatre groups, including Emmanuel College, Emerson College, Babson College, Bentley University, The F.U.D.G.E. Theatre, Riverside Theatre Works, Suffolk University, Noble and Greenough, Day Middle School, and The Player’s Ring. Previous productions include: Godspell, The Music Man, bare: A Pop Opera (Boston premiere), The Last Five Years, Nunsense!, Batboy: The Musical, I Love You Because (Boston premiere), Into The Woods and The Wedding Singer. Jason is originally from Independence, Missouri.
