JulieAnn Charest GovangJULIEANN CHAREST GOVANG has been supporting and or participating in the Arts for over 40 years. As a director, among her many credits are Starmites, Zombie Prom, The Love Note and School House Rock (Middlesex School Summer Arts), The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Midsummer Jersey and Bye Bye Birdie (Littleton High School), The Drawer Boy and Romance/Romance (Vokes Players), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Wellesley Players), To Kill a Mockingbird (Concord Players), Godspell (Woburn Repertory Community Theatre), I Hate Hamlet (Groton-Littleton Theater), Acme Theater Productions' Don't Dress for Dinner and Criminal Hearts (EMACT Best Director nomination), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, I Need a Vocation, We Remember... 9/11, Cinderela, November Nite Live, Beauty & the Beast and Godspell (Ayer-Shirley Regional High School); Cabaret & The Wiz (ACTS), I Hate Hamlet (Nashoba Players), Fame (River’s Edge Players), Boston’s Playwright Platform Festival (P/A & In Like Flynn), as well as Newton Country Players’ EMACT Entry RAIN, and the Festival Finalist production of Burlington Players’ Steel Magnolias (Best Director nomination).  She has also directed numerous productions as a Junior Company Director with Concord Youth Theatre.

Govang has played featured roles throughout the region in Steel Magnolias (M'Lynn), Schoolhouse Rock (Dori), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Martha), Lend Me a Tenor (Maggie), Into the Woods (The Baker’s Wife), City of Angels (Oolie/Donna), They’re Playing Our Song (Sonia), Baby (Lizzie), Anything Goes (Bonnie), and The Importance of Being Earnest (Gwendolyn). She portrayed ‘Women with Records’ in Camelot Players’ EMACT Festival entry production of Chamber Music, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and ‘Rona’ in Theatre III’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, for which she received an EMACT DASH Award for "Best Supporting Actress in a Musical."

 She is a founding member of ArtsNashoba, an Instructor/Director at Middlesex School Summer Arts, Drama Director at Ayer-Shirley Regional High School, a former Board Member with Concord Youth Theatre, EMACT, NETC, Vokes Players and Burlington Players, and a former Regional Representative for the American Association of Community Theatres, Owner/Editor of JAC Publishing & Promotions and New England Entertainment Digest, JulieAnn's most prized role to date is ‘Mom” to Christopher and Stephen and ‘Wife’ to Michael.  Email JulieAnn.
